On my way back from Pitts-burgh, I was looking for a good non-chain place to eat lunch. It was Memorial Day so most places were closed. My GARMIN (GPS) found a place in Weston, West Virginia. I was about ten miles out so I called ahead to see if they were open. The GPS had the phone number. The place was the Coke and Float. The name sounded good, so I let the GPS guide me there. The Coke and Float was less than a mile from Weston’s downtown. The Coke and Float was beside and EXXON station. The EXXON looked to be out of business. The Coke and Float has a gravel lot with three picnic tables outside under a covered shelter. The Coke and Float is open seven days a week. Monday-Saturday its open 10:30-8:30. Sunday’s and holidays its open 12:00-8:30. The grill closes @ 6:30pm everyday. The Coke and Float has been in Weston, West Virginia for about fifteen years. I ordered two slaw-dogs. Mine had mustard, onions, chili and slaw. Both of my slaw-dogs were very good. The slaw gave the dogs a nice sweet taste to them. I also ordered a vanilla milkshake. Like the dogs, the shake was also very good. If you eat at the outside picnic tables they will bring your order to you. This place has just about anything you could want. This is just a short list of their additional treats; Mississippi Mud sundaes, banana splits, coffee shakes, waffle cone sundaes, turtle sundaes, every kind of ice cream, every kind of milkshake, floats, cyclones, hot fudge cake, Rocky Road sundaes and frozen bananas dipped in chocolate. Sounds good doesn’t it. Happy Eating!
