"Hot
Thomas Barbecue & Peach Orchard" was the original name until the orchard’s peach trees froze and subsequently
died. The old roadside store that Hot Thomas Barbecue calls home still exists, but the peach orchard that was once behind
the old store is now gone. The old roadside store is on Georgia Route 15 in Watkinsville. I had the chopped Q sandwich with
a side of slaw and a sweet tea. They give you a choice of sauces; one has a sweet tomato base and the other is vinegar based.
Both of the sauces have a heat range from mild to hot to x-hot. The sweet and mild covered my very tender chopped q. My Q
sandwich was excellent! The sweet tea was good and my coleslaw was nice and sweet. It consisted of white cabbage, specks of
carrot and pickles. It was very good.
