This Fly-In/Drive-In restaurant is located inside the old terminal building @ the Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK). FDK is an operational general aviation airport with more than 400 arrivals and departures on an average day. The Airways-Inn offers a great burger and fries plate. The $100.00 dollar burger, A $100 dollar hamburger is pilot slang for the approximate cost of operating a private light aircraft (Cessna Skyhawk), including fuel, on a round trip flight to a nearby airport, is charbroiled and cooked however you want it. My excellent charbroiled burger was medium cooked and topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard and ketchup. The fries were also excellent. The Airways-Inn, of course, offers great views of the planes and helicopters landing and taking-off. They also have places outside to sit and watch the aviation activities and it's great free entertainment for the kids. Enjoy!
