Borroum's is just across the street from the Alcorn County courthouse. It is the oldest continuously operating drugstore and soda fountain in the state. It was founded in 1865 by former CSA surgeon A.J. Borroum. Borroum's is a family owned and operated business that is still run by the Borroum family today. Walking up to the front door, Although I could see a lady with keys in her hand ready to lock up, she graciously let us in. So to quickly repay her kindness we ordered two vanilla milkshakes to go. I snapped the photos while she was making our shakes. Their shakes are made with Blue Bell Ice Cream. Our (mine and my Dad's) milkshakes were both excellent! Enjoy!
