Eschew your motel's plastic wrapped breakfast-like food offering and get a real breakfast @ the Pancake Shop. You can dine on their superb, made-from-scratch, warm maple syrup covered buckwheat pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, blueberry pancakes, apple pancakes, banana pancakes, freshly cooked bacon and sausage, freshly squeezed orange juice, ham & eggs, freshly-made omelets, half grapefruits, grits, apple butter or have a cup of their famous coffee (see menu). Some of the Shop's famous diners have included: Liberace, Al Hirt, Babe Ruth, Chief Bearskin, Jimmie Rodgers, Governor Bill Clinton, Horseman Woody Stephens, Comedian Joe E Lewis, John Rice, Toni Tennille (of Captain & Tennille), and Barney (the purple dinosaur). I chose their invigorating orange juice, two buckwheat pancakes and two of their outstanding sausages. You can buy the Pancake House sausage, coffee etc... @ their shop The Savory Pantry next door. The Pancake Shop has been family owned and operated since 1940. The Pancake Shop is located in historic downtown Hot Springs just steps away from the historic Bathhouse Row. Enjoy!
