And after the movie grab some dinner @ Due South BBQ. The Due South Q house is literally within walking distance of the Starlight. When you first enter, get in line and place your order, and after you have found a seat they will bring your food to your table. Due South hickory smokes their pork shoulders for 12 hours. The pork is seasoned with a dry rub before cooking. My Q plate had a mix of inside white and outside dark and it was excellent! Along with my Q I had some slaw and baked beans. My slaw consisted of green and white cabbage with some shredded carrots added. The slaw was not as sweet as I usually like it, but it was still good. My baked beans were a mix of kidney, pinto and navy beans with some pork pieces added. The beans were very good. You have a choice of sauces; sweet red, yellow, sweet brown, Lexington and hot red. Their hot red sauce received a 1st place award in a 2007 Virginia State Barbecue Competition. My favorite was the sweet brown. Before your food comes, load up on their delicious fried hushpuppies.
