In Allentown's West End Theatre district is Nick's Diner. The current building, (not a stainless-steel gem) doesn't really grab your attention but chances are great that their sign will. I'm like a moth to a flame when I spot any vintage neon and Nick's retro neon red one is a real beacon. Nick's is a real local's place so much so that when we gave our order to our waitress she was amazed at our Southern accent since she had never heard one before and she just loved it. Nick's is a real diner, so they have just about anything you could ever want on the menu and what I usually get at any diner is breakfast. So, I ordered three French-toasts, sausage and a cold glass of milk. It was all just wonderful. Nick's is currently in the process of renovating, so call before you go. Enjoy Allentown!
