This Georgia route 129 roadside stop: with its long sloping roof, gray cinderblock, long metal rusting Coke roof sign, sawdust-covered front porch, screen door for a front door, concrete floors, Georgia red clay and gravel parking lot & overall shackish appearance make this 1958 Q house picture perfect. The vintage steel and neon sign is one of the best I have seen for a Q house in the state. You order at the front and they bring your order to your chosen table. I ordered the chopped Q sandwich topped with coleslaw. The Q and the slaw on the sandwich were very good. The Q is Pit-Cooked over hickory. Their sauce is vinegar-based tomato. They have layer cake slices for dessert. The Old Clinton BBQ sign says "Best BBQ in Georgia." Stop by and judge for yourself. Happy eating!
