What started as a food truck about five years ago is now a brick & mortar in the Boonesboro Mall. Pok-E-Joe's covers their Boston Butts with their own Texas dry rub and then hickory-wood smokes them for 12-18 hours. I ordered the pulled-pork sandwich with a side of baked beans (it comes with a small side of slaw, onions and pickles) and a superb sweet iced-tea. From the slaw to the pulled-pork, to the baked beans and the sweet tomato-based sauce, everything was solidly great. I will try the Messy Pig and/or the Destroyer (their best sellers) on my next visit. Enjoy!
