When they removed the single barber chair it left an exposed "spot" beneath it that was then painted over white, thus the White Spot. The Spot is a well-known UVA student hangout, the best late night C'ville eatery and the place students go after the bars close. It's also the home of the famous "Gusburger" one of C'ville's best burgers--basically a cheese burger with whatever else you choose to add (mustard, ketchup, onions, tomato, lettuce, pickles, mayo, etc.) topped with a fried egg. Mine was excellent! Turn into the alley-way beside the College Inn and you will find a pay parking lot in the back. If the White Spot does not validate your parking ticket Mincer's will. Enjoy!
