State fairs are great, they are like one big petting zoo. I could do without the crowds, parking and traffic but that's just part of the overall experience. Stepping in a fresh cow patty is sort of a right of passage in life. First time visitors to a dairy farm would certainly agree. Animals are a big part of any fair, but the food is also a major draw. Funnel cakes, deep-fried Oreo's, Chocolate Covered Banana On A Stick and corn dogs are some of the many favorites. So, what do you do when the fair is still months away? Well, in Knoxville, Denton's has all of the local favorites of the Tennessee Valley Fair now and year round. I got an amazing corn dog pair and a solid Big Orange. Enjoy!
