In Yankeeland, there are Dunkin Donuts stores everywhere and while Dunkin's Donuts are good, the longtime local mom and pop place is usually always better. Allentown's longtime locals place is Mary Ann Donut Kitchen (Since1959) and they are definitly better. No, they are not open 24hours and if you want your favorite donut/cronut, getting there early is a good idea. You can sit, relax and read the paper while enjoying your donuts with coffee or milk or you can get them to go. They were out of cronuts (fried croisant glazed or cream filled) on my visit so I had two excellent twisted glazed donuts and milk. The iced chocolate and iced vanilla donuts are their best sellers. The donuts are made fresh daily on the premises. They are open 5:30am to 3:00pm daily and they only take cash. Enjoy!
